Today's Bride Photoshoot

We recently did a photo shoot for Today's Bride with Very Merry Events. This romantic fairytale wedding was full of soft florals, delicate touches and beautiful details. For this dramatic dining scene we wanted to create a lush and soft look. Instead of using a fabric or lace runner, we chose something a little more dramatic and less expected. We crafted this runner entirely out of dahlias and seasonal flowers. Blush pinks and soft whites were punctuated with purples and violets creating depth and movement throughout.

Atelier

For those of you who don't know, Atelier is the French word for workspace or studio. It conjures ideas of romance, creativity and spaces full of objects, tools, art and history. Here are some of our favorite images of ateliers from all over. We hope they inspire you to carve out your own space where you can create and practice beauty.

New Look for the New Year

Working on an installation for our studio... entirely made of paper in shades of cream, ivory, white, coral, peach, ochre and persimmon... come check it out if you're in our neighborhood!

Mock Up in the Studio

Something we offer all of our clients is the opportunity to see their vision and our vision come to life before the event... in the form of a mock up. Mock ups are one of our favorite studio activities. We get to browse the flower mart for pure inspiration, selecting botanicals for their color and textures, and come back to the studio and create a table setting full of gorgeous arrangements and fun props. An excited bride arrives to see a glimpse of what her wedding table will look like. Today we worked on a mock up for a wine country wedding with an Autumnal palette. It was wonderful to see the hot yellows and oranges, and sleek grasses in the studio after a summer full of pinks and whites and imagining the October colors helped deter the heat of the day!
