Sweet 16

We recently did a Sweet 16 that was a black light, club-esque affair. Its seldom that we get a chance to design anything with so much freedom, color and graphics. In fact, I think this was our first event ever without floras! Check out the inspiration to creation below...

Photographer Erik Umphrey did an awesome job capturing the mood amongst the glowing purple and blacks created by reFraction lighting. DJ Dojah created the perfect thumping bass of a nightclub while guests clad in all white bounced with the beat. Shannon Leahy kept it cool while checking guests of the list and marking them as VIPs with our custom designed glowing bracelets!

Packaging!

We love to give a gift that's as special as the recipient. For us gift giving is a part of storytelling, a way to say thank you or we've selected something especially for you, its a way to show appreciating or to cheer someone up. Celebrate

Prepping for this weekend of weddings... Creating a ribbon wall made of pinks, golds and champagnes among other things got us thinking about celebrations, fun and festivity...  Its Friday!

Fun Find: Kokeshi Doll Gift Bags

I have been seeing kokeshi dolls pop up everywhere these days. I just came across these kokeshi doll gift bags and I had to share them with you. They are absolutely adorable & super affordable. I could see them incorporated into so many different types of parties...a children's tea party, a sushi party, an around the world event. They could be used simply as a party favor bag, or why not set them up as a collection on a mantlepiece, or have them line the middle of a table serving as a centerpiece. You could play off the fun colors in the design of the bags with a color palette of soft pink, brighter pink, a soft buttery yellow and an accent of black.  I love that they are made of 100% recycled hand made paper consisting of cotton fabric remnants with traditional silk screen printing. Pretty amazing.
