Modern Design

We recently did the decor, styling and florals for a corporate metting here in the dogpatch. We transformed a working studio into a serene space filled with soft natural light and bold modern arrangements. To hang giant product shots and photos for the client, we built stands from galvanized metal pipe. Long black metal containers filled with white carnation and ruby red rose hips ran the length of a industrial metal conference table. Fluttering white panels of snow camo converted this office space into a modern setting for this event.  By balancing soft white with bright red and industrial metal we created an aesthetic that was both bold and modern and feminine at the same time!

Retro Glam Wedding Feature

One of our recent weddings was featured on Style Me Pretty. This fun and fabulous wedding had lots of sparkle, a little glam and some wonderful retro inspired details. Check out more photos and the full story here.

Atelier

For those of you who don't know, Atelier is the French word for workspace or studio. It conjures ideas of romance, creativity and spaces full of objects, tools, art and history. Here are some of our favorite images of ateliers from all over. We hope they inspire you to carve out your own space where you can create and practice beauty.

Feature in Martha Stewart

One of our recent weddings was featured on Martha Stewart! The combination of burlap and lace inspired the design for this romantic summer wedding.  Inspired by soft blushes, pinks and silvery greens,  the arrangements were soft and delicate. David Austin roses in pinks, white hydrangeas, and dusty miller were nestled in mercury glass vases. The whole event sparkled with candle light and love! Check out the whole article and more images of this incredible event here.

We crafted this unique and custom escort card display for the couple. In hues of aqua blue and green, these vintage shutters were the perfect combination of functionality and inspiration. Kraft paper tags, hand calligraphed and tied with vintage lace were placed alongside succulents and fresh blooms.

We loved creating this chuppah for the couple. Birch branches were draped with passionflower vines for a soft and romantic setting.

Hot

Keeping it HOT this winter with pops of neon against peaches, coral, tans and neutrals... and don't forget a bit of sparkle. Love neon with a flash of gold.

Get Organized for 2012

We know with the New Year there are a lot of new resolutions to attend to. We asked around and it seems many of you want to start the year off with an organized (and stylish) home. Here are some of our favorite organizing tips and inspirations to get you started in the right direction!

We love using vintage pieces like a locker to house items like books, photo albums and magazines that tend to end up in messy piles if not contained. Add a pop of color with a fresh coat of paint. For those of you who like a rustic look and can tackle a little DIY, these shelves made from wooden palettes are an awesome way to create unique and stylish storage. For quick and easy clean up, use a magnetic strip (from Ikea) to quickly contain metal cars and toys. We love the graphic quality of little vintage toy cars lined up in a child's room! For your craft space, try using a garden storage system with tins and buckets to hold pens, markers and other bits of crafty goodness! And last but not least, don't overlook a piece you might already have. Old wooden crates look fabulous mounted on a wall for a quick and easy display!

Welcome 2012

What better place to start the new year than with good news? We just got an email from one of our couples that her wedding was featured in San Francisco Bride.  This delightful Fall wedding took place in the Berkeley Hills and was full of charming details and rich autumnal colors. We worked with Amorology to create this lovely event.  Check out the details and the full article here. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
